Well, summer is coming fast.  I realized this when my friend was goin to bed, and she said good night and have a good summer, because she wouldnt be awake in time to see me off on the next day.  I'm kinda lookin forward to going home, but leaving also always sucks.  Will be fun to see the family, the cats and the high school friends, but it will suck not seeing the asheville ones.  Though most are staying up here, so I could come and visit them, as I'll actually have a car!  Can't take too many vacations though, I do need the money from the job and stuff.

Well, I get to go home in a few days.  I'm fairly looking forward to it because I will get to see my cats and earn some cash, which is always nice.  Happily it doesnt look like next semester's books are going to be TOO expensive, seeing as I already have my physics book.  I shall miss people though (ie: Price).

This semester has been pretty fun, since I dropped biochem.  Biochem kicked my ass hardcore style.  Got to go to the beach for spring break, havent been home all semester and I'm sitting here kidna sorta doing physics homework.  Trying to finish so i can do other stuff tonight, like game, but it's just so darn tedious..  Anyways, I must go off and do that.  Be seeing anyone who cares in Durham soon enough, and will be not seeing all the people from Asheville :(

Snow!  A decent amount.  Late start classes again makes for fun times, possibly again tomorrow.

Winter break was fun, lots of rock band and other PS3 games courtesy of ben and phil.  Didn't do much else of note over break, just got phat lewtz from xmas.  Now I'm taking some relatively difficult classes, so it should be a fun semester.  I actually have labs now, so i dunno how that will turn out.  Labs annoy me.

Now I'm going to go check if my leftover ribs from Cheddar's are still good.

How has everyone been?  I know I don't write much, but I do read fairly regularly.  Creepy ain't it? :P

    Fun Stuff
I've been having fun so far.

Two weekends ago I believe it was Price and I went to the Rennaissance fair.  It was fun, we got to see the joust as well as performances like a bird show with falcons, vultures and owls and such, a strange and adult themed little red riding hood put on by the toruga twins (of which there were 3).  It was also fun just wandering around and looking at all the booths of clothes and weapons and stuff.  I was sorely tempted to buy a few leather items, but its really expensive.

This past weekend was the Scotland Highland games in Hendersonville.  I'm not part Scottish, but Price is, so she got to check in with her clan.  We each bought a CD from the bands that were playing, very good celtic bands.  Cabertossing looks painful, for the record.  The hay bale throwing looked more fun, still not easy though.  There were assorted Scottish goods, mainly weapons and clothes, as well as fur products.  A few leather stores.  About half of the booths were various clan setups.  There was one civil war booth which amused me.  I had a meat bridy for lunch.  Its basically a scone filled with beef and onions.  Very tasty, and the scone kept the beef from getting cold in the wind.  There was also a demonstration of how sheepdogs worked, one of the dogs was overly hyper and energetic, which was fun to watch.

School has been rough though, i feel like i have exams, papers, or both every week and weekend.  I think I had one weekend with no heavy schoolwork that was coming up soon, and that was a while ago.  Even now I need to finish my take home exam (equivalent of 9 pages, 3 3-page papers) and study for two exams tomorrow.  Then Thursday an outline is due for my big research paper in one of my history classes, which I have not begun yet.  Hopefully this weekend will be less full.

    Sheesh im lazy
Well im finally back on LJ.  Ive just been putting off and forgetting to update.

    Well a quick summer recap.
a lot of lake trips, a few to my lake house a few to aj's.  Aj's is better cause i has jet skis and what not, as well as more skiing options.  Mine only has regular skiing, 1 and 2. I like jet skis.

The big highlight was disney world.  Got a week in july there, went to epcott, magic kingdom and animal kingdom.  My favorite ride was definitely everest, though there was much fun to be had all around.  Saw all sorts of exotic animals at animal kingdom, stuff i might not get the chance to see again...ever.  Space mountain rocked, as well as splash mountain of course.  At magic kingdom we got REALLY lucky and got a one day fast pass thingy, gave us one fastpass to all the rides with fastpass for the day, meaning we could cut the line and get up front.  Apparently they have a complicated formula boiling down to "Give this many out to people getting off this ride at this time"   Hooray us!   I sat next to a Japanese tourist on one ride of mt everest.  She didnt speak much english but she did get a picture with me, courtesy of the rest of her tour group, so if you find a picture of me on a japanese blog, please point me to it!

Kept my job over the summer, feeding the baby shrews, nothing exciting there.

Birthday at the beach house was fun, I got a pocketwatch!  Its all gold and has my initials on it and everything, very nice.  The director guy who did the movie chocolate is scouting our beach house for a movie, so we're all waiting to hear how that turns out.

    The batman movie was awesome.

School has started and im taking 5 classes, 2 of which are history, so a lot of reading to do.  I live down the hall from the girlfriend and in a suite of all friends, so it'll be a comfy year if nothing else.  Got 2 dragon tapestries to decorate the dorm room, looks fairly spiffy.

Anyways, i need to go read some history now, good bye!

    Sleep
Sometimes i dont know how i sleep so much.  I mean, ive always slept a lot and enjoyed it, but today was a bit ridiculous.  I went to bed at like 12 30 after the concert, i was pooped.  Slept about 7 hours, went to work.  Got home at 11, still sleepy, so i went back to bed for what i thought would be a nap.  Woke up around 5 or so....Then just lay in bed for an hour.  Fun stuff.
    12:04 am
    Concert
Just got back from a Jimmy Buffet concert.  It was quite fun.  Lewis had an extra ticket so I got to go with him.  Nearly everyone was dressed hawaiian esque, lots of beach balls bouncing around, lots of beer (not for me).  We were sitting somewhat near the front, but off to the side.  Jimmy buffet is kinda old, and looks older than he actually is =P

Saw Emily and her family at the concert, did not expect to find anyone i knew, but hey the more the merrier.  They had fun performers, like Tshirt shooters on stilts and a guy with an adjustable basketball hoop and backboard on his backpack, getting people to throw the ball so he could catch it.

Gotta love the song Cheeseburger in paradise!

Kinda tired, so im not thinking terribly well now.  Pictures will be up on facebook at some point.

    Home Again
Back in Durham, this time ideally until around 2 weeks into july, so if anyone wants to hang out, send me a call or message or whatnot.

Virginia was a bit dull, but my brother graduated so its all good i suppose.  He's not here to help unload his stuff, so we had to do it for him.  I was able to stick to unloading the family stuff from the trip mainly, helping a little with his stuff.  After having to do my stuff in and out with only one person to help, i wasnt terribly motivated i suppose.

Anyways, home now, relaxation time, byebye.

    Not at home.
Well, I'm in Williamsburg Virginia.  Aka not Durham.  Only up here for a few days, because of my brothers graduation.  For some reason though, graduation has become a Saturday through Monday trip.  And its horrible timing, as ben leaves for greenville Tuesday, with unkown days and phil gets his wisdom teeth out Monday and will be high on prescription meds for a few days.  So i come back, get about 12 hours of hanging out in, then off to Va.

Anyways, im my little timet o myself ive been watching history channel mostly, and now Star Wars A New Hope.  Mostly i just sit and watch people do things, and rarely specifically my brother.  So its kind of dull and i share a room with my entire family, so even the history channel is hard to hear >:O

My family had better not ask me to go anywhere for two weeks at least.  Graduation is good and all, but 3 days of doing nothing but sitting, standing and/or watching is a bit dull.  Internet in the hotel is too slow to play any games on.

    Sitting here
So, i finished my stat exam after 35 minutes or so, of a given hour 15 min.  We arent allowed to leave the room cause other people come in to take the exam at 9 15.  To say im bored is an understatement.

One exam and one essay left to do/turn in today, then i do nothing til about wednesday, and then come home after my thursday exam.  Im not sure how im going to dispose of my cheezit tower, im sure ill make a few people peeved by filling up the recycling bins, but they can deal with it, its my awesome tower or cheezyness.

At this point im really looking forward to summer, even if ben won't be around much.  There's too much going on, stress, exams and stuff.  Grawr.
